School Soccer Curriculum
The US Soccer Foundation’s K-8 soccer curriculum and training package provides turnkey lesson plans to the physical educator so that students can learn soccer skills while being engaged in moderate to vigorous physical activity. The curriculum is based on the Teaching Games for Understanding curriculum model and allows students to practice the fundamental skills in small groups. The games in the lessons never exceed more than 6 per team. This allows lots of touches and skill progression is more rapid than in full-sided games.
