Stock donations are an effective and efficient way to make a donation to Good Sports. And stock donations may provide greater benefits to you and Good Sports!
If you would like to make a gift of stock to Good Sports, you can call or write to your broker, and ask your broker to initiate “broker to broker” transfer. You would instruct your broker to donate the stock directly to Good Sports.
The Good Sports finance department will provide you with all the needed information in order to execute the transfer.
Your broker can then transfer the securities directly to the Good Sports account. It is important that the securities be transferred to Good Sports account prior to being sold in order to avoid capital gains taxation.
