Why did you want to run the Falmouth Road Race for Good Sports?

I want to be on the Good Sports Falmouth Road Race Team, because I want to be a part of a team that is supporting a worthy cause. I also want to be on the team to develop new relationships and meet others who are also passionate about Good Sports. Additionally, I want to experience the physical challenge of running one of the best road races in the country.

How did sports impact you growing up?

Sports have impacted my life in various ways. Sport has given me the opportunity to develop lifelong friendships and relationships. It has also taught me life skills that I carry with me today. Sport has also provided me with education and career opportunities. Furthermore, my mental, physical, and social wellbeing has been improved as a result of sport.

Why did you want to run the Falmouth Road Race for Good Sports?

As someone who used to play sports when I was a kid, I know the importance of learning a sport and being a part of a team. Good Sports is giving kids this opportunity!

How did sports impact you growing up?

I was fortunate enough to try a lot of different sports growing up-from softball, soccer to hockey.  I was never the best athlete, but I got the chance to be a part of a team and make great friends!

Why did you want to run the Falmouth Road Race for Good Sports?

I would like to be on the Good Sports Team since I think this organization does great things to help kids and I’m also a runner so would like to be part if this team.

I am on my middle school cross country and track & field team. I was invited to the BAA Invitation mile run as a top runner in my school. I have enjoyed running 5K’s and run longer distances.

How did sports impact you growing up?

I was fortunate to try and play in many sports. I know I’m lucky that my parents were able to buy equipment, and not everyone is as lucky. I met friends, tried new things and found a sport I enjoy, which is running. And I want other kids to have this too.

What is your post race meal?

Why did you want to run the Falmouth Road Race for Good Sports?

I love being surrounded by other athletes/people along the race that are running for a non-profit they believe in. I always love a good competition but doing it for a non-profit I love is even more rewarding.

How did sports impact you growing up?

As soon as I was able to walk my parents provided me with opportunities in sports. I have learned so much about character education through playing sports and hope to continue spreading that throughout my life.

Why did you want to run the Falmouth Road Race for Good Sports?

Being my first time fundraising through a race, I am just grateful for opportunity to be able to support and represent a good cause by making a small “dent” of an impact if you will.  This charity has the potential to shape children’s’ futures in more ways than one.  It’s so much more than what you see at face value of new sporting goods, which is an amazing thing. And what better to support this charity through my sport that has personally gotten me through tough times, running!

How did sports impact you growing up?

Sports growing up and even now (participating in local races and such) give me a strong sense of belonging to a group of people who are all genuinely interested in the same thing and you could be from all walks of life but you all had one thing in common and one goal. Sports keeps you always striving to perform better and be better. Running has been my mental therapy and a huge stress manager for me and continues to be.
