Through a Ball in Your Court Fundraiser, you can give kids in need the chance to play the sports they love! Good Sports will create a customized fundraising page for your community to donate to. Choose a fundraiser name, a sports theme, a start and end date, and fundraising goal to make this page your own. See an example here.
Following your Ball in Your Court Fundraiser, you will receive a summary with Good Sports impact stories in communities near you. A minimum fundraising goal of $1,000 is required for a Ball in Your Court Fundraiser. Please email Greyson Avots at gavots@goodsports.org with any questions or to get started.
Our fundraising platform, Equip-A-Kid, lets donors can choose the exact pieces of sports equipment they’d like to donate to a child in need. When donors get to the checkout section, they will select your fundraiser from a drop-down menu. And when your fundraiser is over, our team will share your fundraiser’s impact.
Equip-A-Kid is really helpful for our team at Good Sports. We work with a lot of youth programs, schools, and community centers that need all types of gear. If we don’t have something in our warehouse, the donations from Equip-A-Kid help us provide those items to the community.
You can look at Equip-A-Kid here and download our Equip-A-Kid toolkit here. The toolkit helps you get started all on your own. If you have any questions, please reach out to Greyson Avots at gavots@goodsports.org.
Individuals can create a fundraiser on Facebook for any occasion, such as a birthday. Through the click of a button, your friends and family can donate to Good Sports. Learn more about setting up a fundraiser here.
Supporters can ask wedding guests to donate to Good Sports in lieu of a gift or provide a donation to Good Sports in lieu of wedding favors. If you would like help crafting language to explain our mission to your family and friends, please reach out to donations@goodsports.org.
In the event that you are honoring someone or interested in making a donation in someone’s memory, our Classy page allows you to do this.
