Help Support Restore Play in LA

As a result of the devastating fires in Los Angeles, Good Sports is receiving significant requests from the LA youth sports community, as well as inquiries from supporters eager to help kids return to play.  This combination of urgent need and heartfelt generosity creates an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on thousands of children. 

As we help rebuild these communities, restoring play for thousands of children in the LA area is essential to bringing back joy, connection, and well-being as quickly as possible.  

The RESTORE PLAY LA Recovery Fund will help bring critically lost sports equipment, apparel and footwear back to the community so kids can return to play as soon as possible. Good Sports is actively assessing what we have available in inventory that could support programs’ immediate requests of footwear, apparel, bags, balls, etc. Over time, we will continue to work closely with programs and partners to replace essential equipment and infrastructure including uniforms, goals, hoops, training, equipment, and other critical items lost in the fires.  

While many areas and neighborhoods in LA have been affected by the wildfires, this initiative will support the communities that face the greatest challenges in recovery. For these children, losing their facilities and access to play is not just a short-term loss, it can have long-term traumatic effects. 

This is why we are calling for your support. Our goal is to raise at least $1,000,000 in the coming weeks to assist the areas with the greatest need. However, every additional dollar raised beyond that goal will enable us to impact even more children’s lives. Donate now to help the children of LA continue to play during these uncertain times.

For Programs in Need of  Support

Good Sports is committed to restoring play for the youth in LA. We are working closely with affected programs to identify and replace essential sports equipment including, but not limited to uniforms, goals, hoops, training gear, equipment, and other critical items lost in the fires. We’re also helping organizations that are supporting displaced youth and growing their programming by providing additional equipment to ensure they have enough gear for all the kids to participate.
